Uncertain- Can he see me?

A mule deer buck was resting in a canola field that had recently lost most of its flowers. Mule deer like eating the flowers early in the spring. As I was walking along the edge to the field he popped his head up above the tops of the plants to watch my progress. He watched me for several minutes before getting nervous about my continued attention, after which he stood up a bounded away.
